3 in 1: Individual Skills

1) SKATING

  • We will run skating drills of skills that are often needed in game situations.

2) STICK SKILLS

  • Like the skating, we will focus on stick skills that will be used during various game situations.

3) MAKING PLAYS

  • Combining the skating and stick skills learned into a team or game play drill.

 

3 on 3: Small Area Games

  • 30 MINUTES
    There are so many benefits of playing small area games. Each of them help skaters play the game better. Most importantly is the number of puck touches players get while playing 3 on 3 games. During these clinics, players will be split into teams and play a number of different small area games: Safe Zone, Set-Up & Support, One Touch, Breakout, etc.

Duration: 7 weeks (7 hrs of ice)

CLINIC DESCRIPTION

CWS beginner clinic practices are held once a week, and are designed for new skaters or those players who want to review their fundamentals. Practices are 60 minutes long. The majority of ice time is spent on hockey skills instruction. Although, each practice ends with a 15 minute scrimmage where players test their new skills.

WE HAVE GEAR YOU CAN BORROW

If you'd like to borrow gear, we can help you put together what you need. Here is a list of equipment you should have:

  • Helmet / Facemask
  • Elbow Pads
  • Gloves
  • Breezers
  • Hockey Jill
  • Shin Guards
  • Jersey / Hockey Socks
  • Skates
  • Stick
  • Shoulder Pads (optional)
